Mark David, Chief Funny Man

Mark David has two first names, a management degree from UNSW and a talent for making a business out of making people laugh.

In 1999 Mark co-founded Left of Centertainment and has been raising the profile of the comedy scene in Australia ever since. Internationally recognised for developing comedy brands and extending the reach of live comedy entertainment, Mark eats, sleeps and breathes for the creative development and design of innovative comedic entertainment.

From corporate events to weekly pub entertainment to the booking of comedians in gigs across Australia, Mark has helped cultivate some of Australia's most recognisable brand names in both corporate and venue entertainment across TV, Radio and Print Media.

He also enjoys thinking and drinking beer in the shower.

The comedian performed at Forbes North Public School on Friday 26th October and delivered a great show for Kindy to year 2, and a group of year 3 & 4 students. The students were engaged from the moment he leaped out of the store room, held their attention for the whole of the session. The teachers enjoyed the show, too! The show was hilarious and educational at the same time. We particularly loved his interpretation of what a "whinger" looks like (as opposed to a "Ninja") and it has given us common language that we can use with the students. Because the message was delivered in a non threatening manner we can use "are you a whinger or a Ninja" without fear of damaging delicate self esteem. Jonas covered a range of tantrum tactics and the students (and teachers) all had a good laugh at themselves. Well done, to the comedian and team, it was a pleasure to have you in our community.

To be honest I was a bit nervous... RSM Bird Cameron had never done anything like this before and I wasn't sure how it was going to be received. How wrong I was! David Smiedt was brilliant - he took the time to meet with us prior, to walk through his performance, and on the day he nailed it.
