Wednesdays – 10th June $15 @ The Cook Sam Bowring with John Cruckshank and Fabien Clarke plus Special Guests

Sam Bowring began performing standup comedy at the famous (at the time) (in Sydney) (amongst certain circles) Harold Park Hotel when he was 16, getting his first paid work there at 17. He has been runner-up in the Raw Comedy National Final, nominated for Best Emerging Comic at the Adelaide Fringe, and for both Best Newcomer and the Piece of Wood Awards at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

A writer from a young age, his first novel was published when he was nineteen. Since then he has written several more, including the critically acclaimed fantasy series ‘The Broken Well Trilogy’, which has reprinted four times and sold over ten thousand copies. He followed it up with the ‘Strange Threads’ duology, which was selected for ‘Get Reading: 50 Books You Can’t Put Down’ campaign in 2012. Sam has also penned 4 plays, written for Rove, The Mansion, The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, countless comedy festival shows and T.V appearances.

With John Cruckshank – Cruckshank’s delivery is described as unassuming and deadpan, but he insists he’s talking as fast as he can. His passion for comedy emerged in primary school and lead him to a career in Stand Up where he is fast becoming one of Sydney’s big up and coming talents!

And Fabien Clarke, The winner of Adelaide comedian of the year 2013 Fabien Clarke is a stand-up comedian with a gift for storytelling. A regular on the Adelaide comedy scene since 2004; Fabien has performed his comedy at festivals and clubs all over Australia. He’s performed solo shows at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festivals and he has also appeared on the Comedy Channel show ‘Stand-up Australia’.
