She’s a standup comedian right down to her spirit, although her amazing talent took a little longer to come to the limelight than most comedian’s. She is a housewife and a mother of five who started performing much later in her life, bringing her own brand of comedy to Australia and the world. Fiona O Loughlin has won several awards and was a part of every major comedy fest until 2009, when she fainted during a live performance in Melbourne. She later admitted to being an alcoholic and went into rehab. At one time she  was  consuming  two  bottle  of  Vodka  before  every performance  and  became  suicidal.  Lately,  she  has reorganized her life and performed at various comedy events including the Melbourne Comedy Festival. COMEDY GENRES

She  is  an  excellent  storyteller  who  knows  how  to  strike  the  right  nerve  and  send  her  audience  reeling with laughter. A major portion of her routine consists of her household stories. You may think she’s only popular with ladies, but that’s not the case. Men find her humor equally entertaining. In a recent live appearance, she said her beautician asked her if she had any grandchildren. “‘No, in the end we decided against them,’ I said, and she says, ‘Oh! Cool.'” She goes on and on with her story as the audience overdose on laughter.

Sweet, sexy and very funny, Fiona derives her humor from her close observation of family and everyday life. She has a peculiar way of looking at even serious situations and coming up with fresh jokes for every performance. A standup comedian to the core, she is an over achiever as far as making people laugh is concerned. She doesn’t flinch from cringe or black comedy genres and uses expletives and sexual references to incite roof shattering laughter.

NOTEWORTHY PERFORMANCES

Fiona has countless rave standup performances to her credit. She has entertained people across Australia and around the world, taking her act to the Improv Comedy Club in Los Angeles and Hong Kong, Montreal’s Just for Laughs, Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Festival, and the British most prestigious Leister Comedy Festival. Closer to home, she is a much-anticipated artist at Brisbane Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and Sydney Comedy Festival.

She has also appeared as a guest on several TV shows, with ABC’s Spicks and Specks and Channel Ten’s GNW and Rove Live being the most noteworthy.  She is a senior and respected comedian who is often invited to perform the lead acts during comedy events. “Old, tired, funny lady seeks companionship from strangers which reqires no effort in return,” Fiona writes on her Facebook page.
