Rich Brophy

Rich entered the world of comedy when he was far younger than most, which gave him a little bit of an edge. This helped him to cultivate personal style by learning from those more experienced.  His career began in Perth Western Australia and has grown since then.  His approach is original, which makes him favorable with young crowds.  He also takes politics, pop culture, technology and issues with the environment to form authentic acts that are edgy yet fun and entertaining—acts that get the right message across!

His style is unapologetic and filled with literacy plus high intelligence.  When he jokes about serious issues, he still has the talent to drive those problems home to his audience, to bring about more awareness; he does it all in a fresh and funny way.  Rich has also been on FHM’s Stand Up Hero in the UK; and has been a panelist for one of the most viewed topical comedy shows: This Week On Earth.

You might have had the pleasant experience of seeing Rich live at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2007 and 2008 where his shows were sold out continuously.  Remember, this comedian is all about provoking thought, but not in an annoying manner.  He uses satire to the max, and it works for him.  For the past 5 years, Rich has been on the London Comedy circuit, but is now on the new ABC Health Show: Tonic.

The bottom line:  If you want satire and conversational comedy that is intensely funny, smart, witty and fully entertaining—Rich is a must comedian for an event!  He is the perfect guy to make an audience feel right at home.  You certainly won’t forget about him once you see him just once!
